The Lady Jays had a great showing in the Liberty Invitational Tournament. Tennis powers Springfield Kickapoo, Park Hill and Liberty, were joined by Lees Summit North, Lees Summit West and Park Hill South at Bennett Park and Clayview Country Club. A Flight Doubles ended in a three way tie with Liberty, Kickapoo & Park Hill all having 4-1 records in the round robin tournament. Kickapoo was awarded the 1st place medal based on game differential with Liberty's Leslee Feldhaus and Emily Hoffman awarded 2nd place medals. Merrit Whitley and Suzanne Barth of Park Hill took the 3rd place medals.

In the B Flight Doubles, Abby Fish & Kelsey Heuer won all five matches and took first place honors. Maddie Blake finished 3rd in A Flight Singles in a strong field. Blake, Feldhaus, Hoffman, Fish & Heuer were all return medalists from 2007. Jenny Bailey made her first tournament appearance in the B Flight Singles competition.
