Nick Robinson
Nick and his wife Meagan added a child, Annie Lee, on 3/1/04. We don't know if his Stanford team mates call him "Pops" because of his age or the size of his family.
Nick is completing his final year of basketball eligibility at Stanford University. Between high school graduation and beginning at Stanford, Nick completed a two year Mormon mission in Maceio, Brazil. In early March, Nick was a key factor in Stanford's upset over the nation's number 10 ranked team. Nick is one of the few players to play in four NCAA tournaments and has been a large part of Stanford's 5th longest streak of consecutive bids to the "Big Dance" by active teams.
Nick is in his second year as a team captain at Stanford and was recently named to the Pac-10 All Academic team for the third time. He is currently working on his Masters in Political Science/Sociology.
Stanford was 24-1 in games Nick started in 2003-2004 and Nick achieved fame with his end of game play against Arizona to keep Stanford undefeated and number one in the polls. Nick created a steal in the final seconds, dribbled up court and fired a successful 35 foot three point shot as time ran out. The game winning shot was nominated for the ESPY's "Best Moment" in sports for the year.

2002-03 Season (Sophomore): Moved into the starting lineup for eleven games with the knee injury to Justin Davis ... In those eleven starts, averaged 5.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per game ... Started his first collegiate game against Oregon State (1/9/03) and responded with six points and seven rebounds ... His next start (vs Oregon, 1/11/03) resulted in his first collegiate double-double with 13 points and eleven rebounds ... Scored eleven points and grabbed four rebounds at Washington State (1/16/03) ... Scored ten points (4-for-5 from the floor) and grabbed nine rebounds in Stanford's 82-77 victory at #1 ranked Arizona (1/30/03) ... Gave Stanford a tremendous lift off the bench ... Liberty High School: Everyone in Liberty (no one stayed at home) was in Columbia to see Nick hit the fadeaway 15 foot jumper to give Liberty a 42-41 victory over Rockwood-Lafayette to complete the 31-0 season.. In the semi-finals of the tournament, Robinson scored 22 points (10-of-15 from the floor) ... For the season, averaged 13.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists and shot 51 percent from the floor ... The Blue Jays averaged a 21.3 point margin of victory ... During his junior and senior seasons, Robinson helped lead his team to a 54-3 record ... Participated in soccer, baseball, volleyball and football ... Gained numerous athletic and academic honors, including all-state, all-metro, first team all-district, and all-conference ... Graduated with a perfect 4.0 gpa ... Member of the National Honor Society ... One of 19 Liberty students to be valedictorians, and was one of the 360 honor students in the state to be a Missouri-Scholar.
