2nd Place in District Competition
Liberty varsity scholar bowl won 2nd place in the 2007 MSHSAA Class 4 District 8 Academic Competition losing to eventual State Champion, North Kansas City.
The team consisted of

David Klco
Alison Tatum
Spencer Fish

In addition, two members of the team were selected for the All-District Team because of their stellar individual performances during five rounds of competition.  Stephanie Hull (12.6 points per game average) and John Ahlfield (13 points per game average) earned this distinction.

The team is coached by Mary Coogan, Ben Heaivilin, Alison Schultz, and Rosemary Camp.


JV Scholar Bowl Team 2nd in State
The Junior Varsity Scholar Bowl Team missed the state championship by a single question, but completed a great season taking Second in the State at the JV State Tournament in Marshall, Missouri on March 31, 2007

Liberty Varsity Scholar Bowl Team Earns 1st Place at the
University of Missouri - Rolla Spring 2007 High School Tournament  
After six rounds of intense competition, Liberty handily defeated Saint Louis-area rival Fort Zumwalt West, taking an early lead in the championship game that resulted in earning more than double their opponent's score by the end.  Team captain John Ahlfield was the leading scorer for the tournament, while Stephanie Hull was among the top ten scorers at the competition.  The team consisted of John Ahlfield, Shane Daniel, Stephanie Hull, David Klco, Danielle Streifthau, and Alison Tatum.  Coaches for the program include Rosemary Camp, Mary Coogan, Ben Heaivilin, and Alison Schultz.


Liberty Varsity Scholar Bowl takes 1st Place in Lexington Tournament
Congratulations to the Liberty Varsity Scholar Bowl team for their superior performance on Saturday at the Lexington Minutemen Invitational Academic Tournament.  The team took 1st place of the 16 teams in their division, defeating cross-town rival North Kansas City by a score of 400 to 340 in the championship game.  Additionally, John Ahlfield and Stephanie Hull made the All-Tournament team.  Ahlfield was the 2nd leading scorer of the day, while Hull held the 8th leading scorer position.  Other team members include Shane Daniel, Ammon Sarver, David Klco, and Allie Kline.  The team is coached by Rosemary Camp, Ben Heaivilin, Mary Coogan, and Alison Schultz.   


Varsity Scholar Bowl team
Congratulations to the members of the Varsity Scholar Bowl team for their 2nd Place finish at the Savannah Invitational Varsity Quiz Bowl Tournament on Saturday, March 17.  Team members included John Ahlfield, Stephane Hull, Shane Daniel, Ammon Sarver, Danielle Streifthau, and David Klco.  Liberty also entered a second team in the tournament that held the 5th seed position in the quarter finals. This team consisted of Alison Tatum, Spencer Fish, Allie Kline, Alex Dobson, Lucas Mobberley, and Cameron Kieffer.  These teams are coached by Rosemary Camp, Mary Coogan, Alison Schultz, and Ben Heaivilin.
