KLHS Broadcast Received First Place
The Journalism Educators of Metropolitan Kansas City gave KLHS Cable TV its first ever first place, defeating its Kansas rival Blue Valley for the first time in this contest.  Alix Wiggins, received an honorable mention for her story on the LHS orchestra honors and its instructor, Mary Lou Jones.


Journalism Honor Roll
The following broadcasting students were accepted into the 2007 National Scholastic Press Association’s Journalism Honor Roll. Students must have a 3.75 accumulative GPA. They must also have been in good standing in their broadcasting classes and filed all necessary paperwork.

The Liberty Bell newspaper staff won the following awards at Scholastic Journalism Day at the University of Missouri recently:

In the write-off competition

received a 2nd place award for Review Writing
Emily Carrico received a 3rd place award for Feature Writing


Liberty High School Yearbook Honored at MU Journalism Day
Congratulations to the Liberty High School yearbook staff for its superior performance at Journalism Day at MU. The yearbook staff received an overall superior award, which is the second-highest rating for yearbooks in the state of Missouri. A Show-Me is highest, superior is second, excellent is third and merit is fourth.
